What is the difference between an inspection and an estimate?

Inspections include a top to bottom inspection report of the chimney & all flues, photos & any recommended repairs. Inspections are typically needed for home sales, condo associations, if you are unsure if you can use the chimney, or if you are unsure what repairs are needed. Inspection fees will be waived if a deposit for quoted work is placed with the technician OR if a cleaning or repair is completed during the appointment.

Estimate appointments are at no charge & the technician will take photos of the requested repair(s) and provide a quote. Estimate appointments at no charge are NOT offered for flue cleanings (flat rate pricing for standard sweeps), home/condo sales, or for 3+chimneys.

I was quoted $50-$80 for a sweep from someone else, why is it so much cheaper?

Unfortunately, the chimney industry is packed with scammers- especially on Facebook. Do your research on who you allow into your home. We suggest reading reviews, checking their website/social media, referring to the CSIA.org website & asking for an insurance binder. Any licensed, insured, reputable company would not provide professional services at such a low cost.

I have a quote from someone else, but I really like your company- can you match it?

How do I prepare for my chimney sweep appointment?

Someone over the age of 18 must be present at the home. Please do not light your wood stove, fireplace pellet stove or coal stove 12-24 hours prior to the start of your arrival window. Furnaces can remain on. Our super friendly technicians will take care of the rest! :)

Do you offer financing?

Yes, we do offer financing through our partner Wisetack.

My fireplace smells, will a cleaning get rid of that?

Our technician will assess on-site, but sometimes smell issues are more complex than just a cleaning. Many factors including how old the fireplace is/usage, downdraft & moisture can contribute to the issue.

Do you do chimney cleanings year-round?

Yes! We do complete cleanings year-round.
