Repointing vs Rebuilding

Rebuilds are typically needed when there are structural cracks, falling bricks & mortar, loose bricks, missing bricks. Repointing is a repair method for minor mortar issues within the chimney.

Crown Repair vs Crown Replacement

The crown is the cement slab located at the very top of your chimney. The integrity of the crown is crucial to the structure below. If a crown has minor cracks we can apply a flexible sealant product to seal the crown. Crowncoat is the ideal preventive if your crown is slightly damaged. Crowncoat carries a 10-year limited warranty. If the crown is damaged, broken, crumbling or you do not have a crown you will need a Crownwash. This process is completely removing and replacing the existing crown.

Crownwash carries a 5 year limited workmanship warranty.
